(Doesn't Jackson's head in the big picture look like it was photo shopped on his body? And its so much bigger, he looks like a bobble head doll - I promise I didn't do anything to it. Apparently big kid, big bike, big head.) Daddy & his three Bears (as he calls them) Even though Bart is the only one looking at the camera. Good job daddy.

After Jackson's Super Hero Buddies went home, we gave him his birthday gift from Mom & Dad. Our little guy is big enough for a big boy bike! We've been considering getting him a bike for quite a while, but we're glad we waited. Jackson has loved his bike. He has always said he wanted a red bike, which is strange because most everything Jackson wants is blue. Guess even at a young age all men know that red looks cooler and faster...
Grandma Mickie went with Bart to get the bike and hide it from Jackson. While they were shopping they found license plates and since everything is better with your name on it (something I never had because they always spell my name wrong), she got one for each of the boys. Owen even has one for him, maybe I should put it on the baby walker...

We talk a lot about choices at our house, and making good choices. Well Jackson has taken this to pointing out whenever someone is making a bad choice. Driving down the road, he'll point out kids on bikes, or skateboards without helmets and tell us how they're making bad choices. He'll tell people smoking outside of a store that they're making a bad choice. (I'm sure this makes their day, we always leave very quickly when he points out things like this...geeze). So I'm sorry if Jackson judges any of you. We're working on it. So Grandma Kathy promised Jackson that she'd get him a helmet for his bike and that we'd go to the store to pick out whatever one he wanted.

Love the bruise in the middle of his forehead. Maybe he should wear the helmet 24/7 huh?

What she didn't count on was Carter. He had to be a part of it, and picked out his own helmet too. So now both boys have helmets (knee pads & elbow pads too). Jackson's is Spiderman and Carter got Cars (No surprises there folks).
Sporting their new gear, riding bikes at Grandma's house. She has a better bike riding street than we do, so the boys love to take their bikes with them to Grandma's. Jackson went as fast as he could, Carter was going so slow walking his bike around that it looked ridiculous that he even had his helmet on but he sure loves it.

That is so funny because the is what we just did for Shane's birthday! Got him a new bike and grandma bought both boys a helmet and license plates! It's so fun having them big enough to ride bikes and play outside. Too bad it's too hot already!
